Hello all!  My apologies for being gone so long, have had a rough again with my migraines.  At any rate, I hope that everyone is doing well. Well, the elections are over, and it seems that we're keeping our president. I am relieved, but many are angry.  I've been watching the news carefully to see if anything is going on. At one point some folks in Texas said they would declare war on the rest of the US if Obama won again.  But, so far, it seems to be quiet or the media is doing a good job of covering it up! Ha!   Now begins the Holiday season, the crazy time of year that most kids love and many adults hate.  I do hope that this season is a joyful, positive one for all of you!  This is the time of year we are reminded of our blessings.  We should live in gratitude.   Thank you all for stopping by my page and blessings to you!!  : )

Hello all! : )  I hope everyone is well.  Halloween is almost upon us, and though I didn't get to go to any parties this year, I just love Halloween & dressing up! : )   It's so much fun : )    I hope, if you know what I'm talking about- the holiday- that you like it too.  So, as the Autumn leaves fall, and the seasons change, so life changes as well. Our election is coming up fast, and I do not look forward to it. Not because I am for either political party, but because of some of the rumors flying around. Rumor's of protests & possible violence, I am praying that no one gets hurt. However, sadly, many already have been as our country turns more & more to martial law. The Freedom that use to ring through our hallowed halls has eroded, Freedoms being taken while it's populace does nothing- lazy & self made stupid. Good Morning!  I hope that everyone had a good day yesterday. I have a Facebook page, and various friends from around the country on it. One of my friends posted story & short video about a woman in Wisconsin who was bullied. I watched & read the story, and felt that the woman did a good job dealing with the situation.  However, I was disappointed and shocked by some people's hurtful & negative response's to her;  there were positive response's too and that was great. The first thing that comes to my mind is, how can someone be so hurtful to another?  The woman is obviously aware of her situation, she's overweight, she acknowledged it.  But since when do others feel they need to "rub it in"?  As children, this would be a more understandable response, but adults?  I guess perhaps I am an older person, who's parents taught that you don't make fun of others. I may not like others clothing, hair, whatever- choices, but it is  not for me to tell people how they should act, look, speak-whatever. Plus somethings aren't a choice- disability, etc..  You accept others for who they are, if you don't get along, then move on.   I keep praying for a more kind & compassionate consciousness in our world, and I will continue to do so.  But it sure makes me wonder when people say such hurtful things. Perhaps I am foolish to hope for kindness, peace and tolerance. Good Morning all!  I hope that everyone had a good weekend. Mine was quiet and nice. I discovered a "new" series on TV, a silly vice I have, but the series is "Once Upon a Time".  I got to watch most of the first season. I really liked it, which surprised me as I don't typically watch regular TV. It was very charming and swept me up in it.  I think we all need a break from our reality some times, just to take a breather & recharge. Some times a break from our problems will give us a fresh perspective. : ) The next couple of days, according to the stars, are supposed to be pretty darn nice. TGIF! Happy Friday all!  Today I am very glad it is Friday, for some reason I feel that the week was much longer than 5 days, LOL. Good morning all, I hope you've had a great night.  This morning I had a little event in my world. My neighbor's dog escaped his lead and took off like a shot.  I watched this happen from my kitchen window, and wondered to myself if the neighbor might need help.  Then I remembered the time when my treasured little pug, Piggy, escaped from our front door. I ran wildly after him, he doing his best to evade me at every turn. ( little stinker!) My neighbors at the time, sat and watched this happen, one chuckling and the other silent. No one offered to help me, and we were near a major intersection. Finally, thank goodness, I was able to catch my little Piggy (LOL, oh the puns!) and bring him home safely.  After this memory running through my mind, I went over and slipped my croc's on and went out the door, in my pajama's, to help.   It only took about 10 minutes for us to find the dog, thank goodness he hadn't run near the road!   My neighbor thanked me profusely, and commented that these days, it's rare that someone will stop to help another.  I felt really sad at that comment, but know it to be true.  While there ARE people out there who will help others, it has become rare to find that kindness.  I hope that this trend reverses it's self; if we as people try to be a little kinder and care a little more, we can create a better world.  Our society has become afraid of others & self centered, I get that, but maybe just start with a smile to the grocery clerk, or your neighbor. A smile costs nothing and maybe it'll make someones day.  I work daily to break out of my little world, and try to be nice to someone each day. Sometimes it's easier to sit and stew in my own problems, but I know that if someone is nice to me & it makes me feel good; I think others might feel the way I do, so I try to be kind too.  I'd love to hear about your kindness to others, or the time someone was kind to you. Good day! How is everybody doing today?  I hope that you are well. Yesterday was a nice day, however toward evening hours there were disturbances, I suppose no matter how much positive energy we build up or send out, some folks will still be inclined to aggressive attitudes.  There seems to be an awakening of sorts going on, people are seeing things & noticing things they haven't before. I am glad that this is happening, I believe that people thinking & acting for themselves is a good thing. Not being lazy, but taking charge of their lives and doing things they are passionate about. There will be some growing pains for sure, but we can no longer not be Aware of ourselves and our surroundings. No matter which political party you stand for, or not, I think making positive changes in your life can only lead to good.   Blessings!

Welcome to Monday : )    I hope the day finds you well. Monday's, most of the time for me, are hard to get moving again.  Some Monday's I just want to sleep in!  LOL   Monday's don't always have to be the source of rue & longing, they can be great days too!  Sometimes we can lose sight of the positive things in life, with all of the negativity around us, it's easy to get lost in it. However, I think having a positive attitude about things, life in general, can really improve your life. Sometimes we all need an extra boost to make it through our "Monday", so I suggest, try to remember to take a little time for yourself.  Breathe & be grateful for something-- even if it's just your morning toast & tea. Good day!  It surprises me on almost a daily basis, how hurtful & rude some people can be. While I agree with the 1st amendment, free speech, I am still bewildered at how people tear each other down. Sadly this has nothing to do with age, sex or race, there are just some folks who are mean.  I feel terrible for those that the mean people tear down, I know I don't like it, ugh.  It comes down to one question for me, why- why do that to your fellow man?  Accept others for who they are, and let them be.  Deep down everyone  has feelings, and no one wants to be pounded to dust.  I wish, as goofy as it sounds, I wish I could make folks be nice to each other.  Have your disagreements, but stop the personal attacks. Our society will simply fight its self to death if this doesn't stop.   I always try to be optimistic about life and people, there are some really great people out there. The only way to make things better is to start with you.  God bless us all, we sure need it.

Good day : ) Today is "hump day", I hope everyone is having a good week. Funny how fast time goes, isn't it?  Have you ever been in a situation that you just wanted to push through or muscle your way though it, just to get it over with?  I know I have been. But sometimes, you just can't push through it, you have to work through the situation.  Today's card has to deal with those types of situations, taking your time, trying to see all of the possible solutions to the problem, perhaps even tying to see the problem a different way.  Then going with the solution that best fits you & the situation.  Sometimes it's hard to gain a new perspective when you're right in the middle of a problem, but seeing things a different way can give us a wonderful new solution! : )

This card is about problem solving; taking the time to make sure you're doing the right thing for you, as well as looking at possible solutions.   Don't just push your way though a delicate situation, it could end with more problems then you started out with.  Seeing the situation with "new eyes" and possibly going with an unconventional solution. Take your time & think it through. This card may apply to you, if your reading this. But all in all, it's good advice anyway.  : )

  Good day! : )   I hope everyone is well today. I don't know about you, but I've noticed this election year seems a bit rougher & more personal than some of the previous years.  I feel that not only are some of the issues more personal, but those who are discontent seem louder than normal.  I wonder what the election will bring in November.  I truly hope that no one will carry through with possible threats that they have made. ( i.e.. A sheriff in Texas has promised a civil war if Obama is reelected. And many don't want to lose their right to make a choice in abortion, planned parenthood, etc.) One particularly terrifying thought, to me anyway, is some one is pushing to draw women back 50+ years, so that they will at home mom's and the "men will handle things."   Yikes!  As I said yesterday, change can be hard, but we should try to make it positive.  Sometimes making change positive can take some clever thinking and patience.  I do not know what the coming election will bring, but I do know that I am going to do my best to see the sliver lining and live a positive life.

  This card appears as if it might signify violence, luckily, it does not. Again it means change is coming, bonds holding you down will soon be lifted. In order to make the outcome a positive one, you must see yourself & the situation clearly & honestly. It will take patience & attention to detail to make it though, if you follow though with these a new confidence will be gained.

Try, when change comes your way- even if it seems like a negative change, to look at it positively or look for the silver lining.  The more positively you can look at change in your life, the better off you are. Like attracts like, seeing things more positive will bring more positive things.  Try to keep that in your mind when change seems scary.  When one door closes, another one will open.

I certainly hope that this weekend will be far more peaceful in my neighborhood and yours!  However, change is dynamic, so there could be more tense folks out there. Has anyone noticed that hurricane Issac has gone back out to the gulf and is now gaining strength to become a full blown hurricane- headed for Florida again?? I've not heard of this happening before in/near FL, this sure seems crazy to me!! I'll have to do some research to find out more about this. But it sure indicates unusual weather patterns. Yikes!

Alright, let's get moving again! : )    So, I don't know if anyone else experienced it, but the holiday weekend in my neighborhood was pretty testy, argumentative & violent.  Whether it was shouting matches between parents & kids, couples or siblings- everyone was on edge. Sadly there also were a couple of car accidents too.  My cards, as well as other indicators, tell me that this is due to not only our changing society, but to the stars/planets movements.  Whatever the case may be, I'm to understand that there will be more un-rest for awhile yet.  I sincerely hope that 2013 brings us a new age of consciousness, compassion & caring-- not only between people, but for our Earth & all it's creatures. While I don't agree with any of the "end of time" theories, I do think that change is about. Not only are we having stars aligning for the first time in 24,000 years (approx.), but (in the USA) we have a busy election year.  Change can be  perceived as good or bad, but it is always dynamic and it is everywhere. I would put forth the thought that we should try to look at change as a positive event. Change can be hard, but if we look, something good is always there. Be proactive with change, accept it & roll with it, make change work for you.  : )
